Fitness Technician in Mobile, Alabama at COUNTRY CLUB OF MOBILE INC

Job Summary

The Fitness Technician oversees the daily operations of the fitness center. This includes the upstairs Weight and Aerobics Room and downstairs locker room. This role ensures proper equipment maintenance and provides exceptional customer service to our members.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversees the front desk, which includes answering phones, taking messages, and scheduling massages.
• Answers member questions regarding the use of equipment.
• Maintains neatness in the locker rooms.
• Stocks and supplies locker rooms.
• Folds and stocks all towels correctly and takes dirty towels to laundry.
• Maintains neatness in the weight room and puts away any unused weights.
• Performs all closing and cleaning duties required to make the facility ready for the next day, including completing and submitting the total daily tally sheet, turning off appliances (tv, stereo, etc.) and lights, turning off steam rooms, emptying trash, and locking doors.
• Oversees front drinks and re-stocks if necessary.
• Follows CCM mission and values, including providing the best quality service possible. “Service with a Smile” is a key element in providing a positive experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be punctual.
• Excellent communication skills.
• First point of contact for injuries so must be able to work independently.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or 2 year’s equivalent.
• American Red Cross certified in lifesaving as well as how to operate an AED or automated external defibrillator.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to and including 80 lbs., with or without accommodation.
• Requires long periods of time standing, walking stairs, frequent bending, crouching, kneeling and reaching.
