The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to organizational leaders and employees by aligning HR practices with Heartspring’s mission, values, and operational goals. This role supports talent management, employee relations, workforce planning, leadership coaching, organizational development, and performance management initiatives across the organization.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional who combines strong business acumen with empathy, collaboration, and a proactive approach to supporting people and culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR Partnership- Partner with department leaders to implement HR strategies that support organizational goals, operational effectiveness, and long-term growth
- Provide guidance and consultation on workforce planning, organizational structure, and employee engagement initiatives
- Support leaders through organizational change and growth initiatives
- Advise and coach managers on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and talent development
- Proactively manage complex employee relations situations while balancing compliance, compassion, and organizational needs
- Foster a positive and accountable workplace culture aligned with Heartspring values
- Support performance management processes, leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement efforts
- Collaborate on training, onboarding, retention, and professional development initiatives
- Help build strong, high-performing, and mission-focused teams
- Provide subject matter expertise on HR policies, employment law, compensation, benefits, and compliance
- Ensure HR practices align with federal, state, and organizational regulations
- Support continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and employee experience
- Work collaboratively within a team-oriented HR department focused on partnership, service, and shared accountability
- Contribute to a culture that values recognition, belonging, integrity, and celebration
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred
- Experience in Human Resources, Human Resources Business Partner, Employee Relations, or Talent Management roles
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and performance management
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality

Requirements:You are a great fit for this role if you have knowledge and abilities in:
- HR principles, employment law, administration of employee benefits plans and compensation structures.
- Establishing and implementing processes and procedures that align with industry standards and best practices.
- Advanced analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills with the ability to effectively summarize and present information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field preferred.
- HRCI and/or SHRM certification or ability to obtain certification within the first year of employment.
- Minimum 3 years progressive HR experience.
- Proactive project management which directly contributed to organizational success.
Physical Requirements:

Work Environment:
- Environment: Primarily indoor office environment, with rare exposure to outdoor settings
- Safety Compliance: Adherence to safety protocols. Use of protective gear when required occasionally
- Physical Interactions & Exposure Risks: Exposure to physical interactions from clients, including slapping, hitting, punching, kicking, head-butting, and biting. Potential exposure to infectious diseases, parasites, bodily fluids, and blood-borne pathogens in a school and residential care setting.
