DMV Operations Specialist (Titles)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DMV Operations Specialist (Titles) based in United States.

This role is a high-precision operational position focused on resolving complex vehicle title and lien information challenges across multiple state and county DMV systems.
You will act as a critical link between internal operations teams and external DMV agencies, ensuring accurate, timely data retrieval to support title perfection workflows.
The environment is fast-paced and highly variable, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret inconsistent or incomplete information.
You will engage directly with DMV representatives nationwide, navigating differing processes, policies, and response times across jurisdictions.
Success in this role depends on persistence, analytical thinking, and the ability to maintain productivity during high-volume and unpredictable workflows.
This is not a scripted support role, but a hands-on operational position requiring ownership, accuracy, and critical judgment.

Accountabilities:
  • Conduct high-volume outbound interactions with DMV offices across all U.S. states and counties to obtain title and lien-related information.
  • Verify and interpret title status, lienholder details, rejection reasons, correction requirements, and applicable fees.
  • Navigate inconsistent DMV responses, asking clarifying questions and challenging inaccuracies when necessary.
  • Translate DMV communications into clear, structured updates for internal production and resolution teams.
  • Maintain precise documentation of all findings in internal systems with strong attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Identify risks, delays, and discrepancies that may impact title perfection timelines and escalate when needed.
  • Support internal teams by providing verified information and actionable recommendations based on DMV interactions.
  • Contribute to process improvement by updating internal documentation and sharing operational insights.
  • Maximize productivity during downtime by multitasking effectively while managing call hold times and workflows.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience in DMV operations, vehicle titling, lien processing, or related automotive administrative work.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle title workflows, lienholder requirements, and DMV procedures.
  • Experience working in high-volume phone-based or customer interaction environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation and data accuracy skills.
  • Ability to interpret unclear or conflicting external information and make sound operational decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence in asking direct questions and clarifying discrepancies.
  • Proven persistence and resilience when managing long hold times and complex interactions.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy and focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities independently.
Benefits:
  • Hourly compensation ranging from $26–$30 per hour based on experience.
  • Paid time off and paid company holidays.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Multiple health insurance plan options, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) options.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage and life insurance.
  • Stable full-time employment in a structured, process-driven operational environment.
