Coordinator 1 in CRESTON, Iowa at PAUL VI PASTORAL MINISTRY CRESTON

This is a full-time, salaried position as Director of Religious Education and Coordinator of Youth Ministry (DRE/YM) at Holy Spirit Church in Creston, Iowa.

This dual position, DRE/YM, is responsible for ensuring the proper management and catechetical and evangelization focus of Religious Education (R.E.) for the youth of Holy Spirit Parish, Grades 1 through 10; recruiting and training volunteers; inspiring R.E.students, catechists, and families to attend Mass regularly; sacramental preparation; working with parish staff to select and maintain appropriate educational and evangelization resources, complying with an approved budget; plan and executes comprehensive ministry programs, social events, and outreach for children, youth and young professionals; and other priorities as directed by the Pastor.

Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church or enrolled in OCIA and preparing to become Catholic within one year of acceptance of the position

Prior experience planning and developing programs for large and small groups of people desired.

Background in education and training preferred.

Previous experience as religious education instructor is helpful.

Physical ability to operate standard office equipment, lift up to 45 lbs, and travel for retreats, conferences, diocesan events.
