Job Description

Effective management support is critical to helping Air Force leaders make informed decisions, maintain accountability, and keep complex organizations moving forward. This position supports the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) at Wright-Patterson AFB by providing direct management analysis, action officer, task management, and administrative support to AFSC leadership and division operations.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Air Force or Department of Defense support professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced headquarters environment. This role requires someone who can independently manage competing suspenses, coordinate across multiple organizations, analyze information and taskings, and consistently deliver accurate, leadership-ready products.

In this role, you will provide management analysis and Action Officer support across AFSC projects, initiatives, meetings, and leadership requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a Management Analyst and Action Officer supporting AFSC projects, initiatives, meetings, and leadership requirements.

  • Manage and track actions, suspenses, and organizational workflow using the AFMC Task Management Tool (TMT) and other applicable tracking systems.

  • Analyze taskings and supporting information to identify information gaps, risks, required coordination, and appropriate courses of action.

  • Coordinate with internal and external organizations to obtain required information and develop complete, integrated responses to leadership taskings.

  • Develop, coordinate, review, and maintain briefing charts, correspondence, reports, policies, guidance, records, and other program office documentation.

  • Prepare official communications in accordance with applicable Department of the Air Force guidance, including DAFH 33-337, The Tongue and Quill, and AFMAN 33-326, Preparing Official Communications.

  • Serve as an Action Officer and/or facilitator for projects, meetings, working groups, and leadership engagements.

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of briefing materials, decision-support products, correspondence, and other leadership packages.

  • Develop and prepare leadership pre-brief packages to support meetings, decisions, and organizational priorities.

  • Maintain configuration management of leadership products and track actions resulting from meetings and pre-briefs through completion.

  • Manage program information, briefing materials, records, and organizational documentation using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.

  • Support organizational security assurance activities and security inspections.

  • Manage and track division travel and training requirements.

  • Provide calendar management and general administrative support as required.

  • Utilize Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio to develop, maintain, analyze, and present information supporting assigned requirements.

  • Maintain awareness of multiple organizational priorities and ensure time-sensitive actions are appropriately coordinated and completed within established suspenses.

Required Skills/Education

Education: Master's Degree.

Years of Experience: Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in management analysis, program support, Action Officer functions, administrative support, or related Department of Defense/Air Force activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience using the AFMC Task Management Tool (TMT) for task, action, and suspense management.

  • Experience developing, coordinating, and reviewing executive-level correspondence, briefings, reports, decision-support materials, and action packages.

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent actions and time-sensitive leadership requirements.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively across Government organizations and multiple levels of leadership.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.

  • Experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams for information, records, workflow, and document management.

  • Ability to independently prioritize workload and deliver accurate products within established deadlines.

  • Familiarity with Department of the Air Force correspondence and official communication requirements.

Security Clearance Required: Current National Agency Check (NAC) or ability to obtain one.

Salary: $80,000–$85,000 annually
