About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Abatement Supervisor to lead our environmental abatement projects with energy and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee the safe and efficient removal of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards. Your leadership will drive team performance, coordinate project activities, and uphold the highest levels of quality and safety throughout each project phase. What you'll do

  • Supervise and coordinate all asbestos projects including planning, execution, and completion
  • Lead and motivate a team of technicians
  • Run air samples and maintain chain of custody
  • Frequent checks inside containment to maintain quality of work and making sure production is on time
  • Drive company vehicles to and from job sites
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment and materials on job sites
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and company polices through all phases of abatement
  • Oversee disposal of asbestos containing materials
  • Ensuring job sites are left clean of debris and trash
  • Maintain shop area

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic construction techniques
  • Knowledge of asbestos handling and removal, mold or lead based paint removal or demolition and deconstruction operations
  • Must possess an active Asbestos Supervisor Certification
  • Must possess and maintain an active driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Able to lift 50 lbs unaided
  • Able to stand and climb on ladders
  • Able to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Effective with communication, organization, problem-solving, and leading a team

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily inside residential environments or commercial building areas. There is exposure to high equipment noise, chemical fumes, and potential electric and/or machinery hazards. Field conditions outdoors are varying weather conditions, with varying low to high equipment noise, walking on changing ground surfaces, and there is some driving in various weather conditions.
