With significant travel and remote-office flexibility, this role is well suited to an experienced medical device sales professional who thrives on autonomy, customer interaction, and measurable results.

Accountabilities
  • Territory growth: Develop and execute a proactive strategy for the assigned geographic territory, identifying prospects, generating leads, qualifying opportunities, and building a sustainable sales pipeline.
  • End-to-end sales management: Manage opportunities through the complete sales cycle, including discovery, product demonstrations, proposals and RFP coordination, negotiations, closing, and sales handoffs.
  • Customer relationships: Develop trusted relationships with hospitals, healthcare professionals, decision-makers, and other medical organizations by understanding their operational needs and business challenges.
  • Product expertise: Build and maintain a strong understanding of acute-care products, software, hardware, and their clinical and business applications, communicating their value effectively to customers.
  • Competitive intelligence: Maintain detailed knowledge of competing products and solutions, identifying their strengths and weaknesses and using market insights to strengthen sales strategies.
  • Lead generation and networking: Represent the portfolio at trade shows, industry events, networking activities, and other opportunities that increase awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales training, sales support, sales engineering, and other internal stakeholders to develop proposals, demonstrations, and customer solutions.
  • Sales forecasting: Accurately forecast pipeline activity, anticipated deal closures, and territory performance while maintaining required activity and performance metrics.
  • CRM management: Document prospecting, customer interactions, sales activity, and results accurately and consistently within the CRM system.
  • Quota achievement: Take full ownership of assigned territory revenue and consistently work toward or exceed established sales objectives.
  • Customer experience: Follow established sales and handoff processes to support smooth implementation, operational efficiency, and strong customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Professional experience: 4–6 years of successful sales experience with a demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding quotas, preferably within the medical device industry.
  • Healthcare sales expertise: Experience selling into hospitals, healthcare organizations, or other clinical environments, with an understanding of the unique needs and purchasing dynamics of these customers.
  • Territory management: Proven ability to effectively manage and develop a large geographic territory while working independently and maintaining a disciplined sales approach.
  • Technical aptitude: Ability to communicate intelligently and confidently about sophisticated software, hardware, medical technologies, and related services.
  • Consultative selling: Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, closing, relationship-building, and objection-handling skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Remote work: Demonstrated ability to work effectively from a remote office while maintaining strong organization, accountability, and responsiveness.
  • Mobility: Must be located within the assigned territory and able to travel extensively, including up to approximately 50% for customer meetings, demonstrations, prospecting, and relationship development.
  • Driver's license: Valid provincial driver's license required, along with the ability to drive regularly as part of the role.
  • Work flexibility: Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends when required by customer or business needs.
  • Physical capability: Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, speak, listen, and hear, with occasional bending or stooping; ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted and travel by car, train, or airplane as needed.
Benefits

  • Performance-based earnings: Commission opportunity tied to sales performance and achievement of territory objectives.
  • Remote flexibility: Remote, field-based position with the flexibility to work from a home office while regularly visiting healthcare customers.
  • Comprehensive benefits: Access to a broad employee benefits program, with details determined by the applicable benefits plan.
  • Professional exposure: Opportunity to work directly with hospitals, healthcare professionals, and decision-makers within the acute-care technology sector.
  • Career growth: A role offering significant autonomy, territory ownership, customer-facing responsibility, and exposure to complex medical technology sales.
  • Travel and networking: Opportunities to participate in trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and professional networking activities across the territory.
