Description:

The Crew Leader (insulation) is expected to fully support the New Systems and Project Management departments , as it pertains to their needs for parts, tools, expendables, equipment, clerical requirements, etc. to fulfill their duties associated with RC&E insulation projects. Crew Leader must be capable of learning on the job and recognizing routine needs of the insulation project. Tracking of onsite equipment counts (rentals, tools, insulation materials, etc.) will be an essential task.

Act as a liaison for Foremen and Project Managers when required in their absence such as onsite sub-contractor’s meetings or safety crew briefings before daily work duties commence. Creating parts/material lists from multiple sources and forms of communication to create the least amount of purchase orders and need for deliveries as possible. Be cognizant of RC&E vehicle and job trailer availability.

Requirements:
  • Collaborate with Foreman or handle directly, the completion and storage of worksite documents including but not limited to insulation logs, daily work summaries, and time sheets. Others may include lift equipment visual safety checks, incident reports, toolbox talk, site specific safety requirements, or other required by customer or general contractor.
  • Become familiar with Field Connect to input crew members’ weekly hours worked, as well as per diem, mileage, and complete other forms applicable to the project.
  • Utilize ACC BUILD (or other program/platform) to submit ‘requests for information’ or clarifications regarding insulation scope, tools and materials, and utilize other functions that are pertinent to the project for other departments to effectively assist and communicate with field.
  • Reconcile material and parts delivery onsite as they arrive in real time. Must utilize packing slip (BOL), order acknowledgement, or other form provided by RC&E office to determine if field deliveries are accurate and complete. If questions arise, Crew Leader is responsible for communicating discrepancies to the appropriate party, project manager, and vendor if needed.
  • When not performing any functions/duties as described above, crew leader will act in lead position alongside other field crew members to carry out construction tasks such as insulation, site maintenance, setting equipment, or other.
