- Lead capture activities for European and NATO-aligned defense opportunities, shaping requirements, defining win strategies, and guiding pursuits through structured capture processes.
- Develop and execute comprehensive capture plans in collaboration with engineering, operations, finance, and senior leadership teams.
- Drive opportunity qualification, pipeline development, and accurate tracking of capture activities within business systems.
- Conduct competitive intelligence, including market assessments, opportunity analysis, and competitor positioning within defense and aviation sectors.
- Define win themes, value propositions, and differentiators aligned with customer missions, procurement frameworks, and operational requirements.
- Support bid and proposal development by ensuring capture strategy, pricing assumptions, and customer insights are fully integrated.
- Plan and execute customer engagement strategies, including briefings, meetings, and follow-ups with ministries of defense, NATO bodies, and strategic partners.
- Manage participation in defense trade shows and industry events, including planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to marketing, communications, and brand positioning activities within European defense markets.
- Support continuous improvement of capture and business development processes to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
- 5+ years of experience in capture management, business development, or defense contracting roles.
- Proven experience leading capture efforts for government or defense procurement programs, including RFI/RFP processes.
- Strong understanding of European and NATO procurement frameworks, including agencies such as NSPA, NCIA, and national ministries of defense.
- Ability to develop capture strategies, win themes, and competitive positioning in complex bidding environments.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, operations, and legal stakeholders.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with defense aviation, airborne training, or aviation service environments is highly desirable.
- Experience engaging with European defense stakeholders such as BAAINBw, DE&S, DGA, and other NATO-aligned organizations is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market intelligence, competitive analysis, or strategic planning.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel extensively within Europe and internationally when required.
- Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are an advantage.
- Experience using CRM or pipeline management tools such as Salesforce or SharePoint is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, International Relations, Defense Studies, or a related field is preferred.
