Job Description

The Logistics - Capacity Manager is responsible for carrier account management. Hirschbach Solutions believes in high customer service, therefore, the Logistics - Capacity Manager must be willing and able to invest in ensuring the highest level of service is achieved at all time.

What you will be doing:
  • Effectively manages strong relationships with contract carriers
    • Develop an organized list of carriers and the type of relationship with them
    • Publish key contact info for dispatchers as well as desired lanes and rates
    • Focus on continuous new carrier acquisition and develop a plan to contact them regularly to determine relationship level.
  • Develops a cadence for approaching a carrier base when loads become available
    • Check with regular carriers that have been booked previously
    • Blast email carriers for available equipment
    • Post available loads on web load boards we subscribe to
    • Make necessary outbound phone calls to secure coverage
  • Effectively communicate performance expectations to carriers for each load
    • Automated tracking is required because it's required by our customers
  • Participates in carrier performance reviews
  • Identifies and implements opportunities to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Work with a "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" approach to ensure our customer's freight gets handled as expected by Hirschbach Solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned including proactively assisting others in achieving the organization's objectives.
Talent Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent in education, paired with relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy and energy
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to navigate between multiple programs.
  • Demonstrates and "All In to Win" attitude and performances displays self-motivation and a strong desire to learn within an unpredictable and demanding environment.
