The mission of CPLC's Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is to promote the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied alien children, and other eligible individuals and families, through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?As a Safety Monitor, you will help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive residential environment for clients and staff. You will oversee the safety and security of the facility while ensuring program procedures are consistently followed and documentation is properly maintained.
You will promote a work environment centered on safety, communication, teamwork, and professionalism. In addition, you will collaborate with other departments to support a comprehensive continuum of care and services for clients. Because apparently keeping people safe, organized, and supported requires actual human competence. Revolutionary concept.
WHO YOU ARE?You are dependable, observant, and calm under pressure. You understand the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment while working with vulnerable populations. You communicate effectively, work well with others, and can balance professionalism with compassion.
Ideally, you are someone who values structure, accountability, and teamwork while remaining adaptable in a fast-paced residential setting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent education and 1-year related employment experience.
- Preferred 3 years of relevant experience in security.
- Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance card, CPR, CPI and First Aid Certifications.
- Bilingual language skills in English/Spanish and as appropriate to population served required.
- Cleared background check from appropriate entity.
- Cleared drug test results.
- Training, education and experience in community outreach, public health or social work preferred.
