What You’ll Do
As a Supervisor Clinical, you will report to the Practice Manager of the respective site within BMG. In collaboration with the Practice Manager, is responsible for the effective coordination of all daily operational support functions of the assigned facility and perform duties necessary to maintain a smooth functioning and efficient physician office. Responds to daily operational issues when the Practice Manager is absent or unavailable.
Supervisor Clinical Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across nursing, lab, and radiology, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality patient care
- Manage staff scheduling, supervision, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and employee relations
- Partner with Practice Manager on budgeting, expense control, vendor selection, and operational planning
- Ensure accurate billing processes, including charge capture, coding, deposits, and data integrity
- Maintain inventory, supplies, facility upkeep, and office systems (phones, mail, equipment)
- Lead team communication, staff meetings, training, and continuous development initiatives
- Drive patient satisfaction by addressing concerns, resolving issues promptly, and promoting service excellence
- Support marketing efforts and collaborate on physician relations and operational communications
- Coordinate and support practice information systems, including scheduling templates and system updates
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and overall operational effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Indiana is required.
- The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing is required; advanced clinical or business education is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of related healthcare experience is required.
- Requires a minimum of three years of supervisory/management experience, and three years of experience working in a physician practice(healthcare) is required.
- Proficiency with coding systems - such as ICD-9-CD, CPT-4 (HCPCS) - was attained, is required.
What You Bring
As a Supervisor Clinical, it requires knowledge of medical office operations, procedures, and medical records systems, along with an understanding of third‑party reimbursement processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance. Demonstrates proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and technical coding practices, as well as strong computer skills, including EHR systems, data entry, word processing, and spreadsheets. Exhibits strong leadership, organizational, and analytical abilities to manage staff, resolve problems, and support daily operations effectively. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse populations and provide clear, effective guidance, along with a commitment to ongoing leadership development and participation in management training opportunities.
