Merchants Strategy Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Merchants Strategy Manager in Ireland.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded strategist who thrives in high-growth, fast-moving environments and enjoys building initiatives from the ground up. In this role, you will lead the development of merchant and partnership strategies designed to drive monetization, customer engagement, and long-term business growth across multiple European markets. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success while managing complex partnership opportunities end-to-end. The position combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, making it ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and measurable impact. Working fully remotely within an international environment, you’ll help shape scalable partnership models and unlock new growth channels in a business focused on innovation and flexibility. This role offers strong visibility, influence, and the opportunity to contribute directly to a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute partnership and merchant growth strategies aimed at increasing platform usage, revenue generation, and long-term commercial value.
  • Source, structure, negotiate, and close strategic agreements with merchants, distributors, and ecosystem partners across European markets.
  • Build scalable monetization frameworks, including revenue-sharing models, incentives, commissions, and partnership programs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful launch, enablement, and optimization of partnerships.
  • Identify new market opportunities, expansion strategies, and partnership models through market analysis and competitive research.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs related to partnerships, merchant performance, ARR growth, ARPU impact, and customer experience outcomes.
  • Create executive-ready presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations to support decision-making and alignment.
  • Operate effectively within a high-ambiguity environment, driving initiatives from concept to execution with a strong ownership mindset.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Strategy, Partnerships, Corporate Development, or a similar commercial role within high-growth environments.
  • Proven ability to manage partnerships end-to-end, including sourcing, negotiation, commercial structuring, and post-signature execution.
  • Strong understanding of partnership economics, revenue-share models, and merchant monetization strategies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple business units and aligning stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills combined with the ability to execute operationally and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare executive-level materials and influence decision-makers.
  • Fluency in English is required; Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian would be considered a strong advantage.
  • Comfortable working remotely in distributed international teams and navigating evolving priorities with autonomy and adaptability.
  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, HR tech, marketplace, or merchant ecosystem environments is highly valued.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from €50,000 to €75,000 with performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Stock options through the company’s Equity Incentive Plan.
  • Fully remote work environment with flexible working arrangements across Europe.
  • MacBook and €500 onboarding budget to build an effective remote workstation.
  • €2,000 annual professional development and remote work enablement budget.
  • Health insurance plans with options to extend coverage to family members depending on location.
  • 25 paid vacation days plus 3 additional caring days per year.
  • Additional paid parental leave benefits and paid birthday leave for employees and their children.
  • Inclusive, collaborative culture that values autonomy, diversity, transparency, and innovation.
  • Opportunity to help shape a new strategic function with high visibility and direct business impact.
