Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Property/Building/Equipment Maintenance Supervisor (Maintenance Supervisor) will be responsible for the daily operations, preventive maintenance and repair of physical assets for the Ewald Automotive Group. This individual will lead the Maintenance Department technicians, manage vendor relationships, oversee budgets and ensure compliance with all safety standards. In addition, the Supervisor will have working responsibilities to assist and complete projects as assigned. This position must balance hands-on technical troubleshooting with strategic facility management to optimize long-term property and asset values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team leadership: To hire, train, schedule and evaluate maintenance technicians. Will assign daily work schedules and ensure proper follow-up.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement proactive schedules to prolong the lifespan of building systems. (HVAC, plumbing and electrical)
  • Budgeting and Procurement: Track maintenance expenditures, estimate costs for larger renovation, repair or replacement projects and manage inventory of tools and parts.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate and inspect the work of third-party contractors and service providers to verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Compliance and Safety: Enforce all local building codes and safety protocols, including OSHA standards. Conduct routine property inspections to identify hazards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years progressive experience in building maintenance or skilled trades with at least 1 to 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Technical Skills: Hands on expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and electrical issues.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills to interact with management, staff and outside third-party vendors. Operational skills with using computer-based programs.
