Job Description

About 77 Plastic SurgeryA surgeon's standard, applied to every seat.

Dr. Larry Fan founded 77 Plastic Surgery in San Francisco in 2006. Harvard educated, One of America's Top Plastic Surgeons for the past 10 years, and Best Plastic Surgeon in San Francisco, San Francisco Magazine. Board certified, with more than 15,000 patients served.

Our patients pay for their own care. They come to us because they want to look and feel younger without looking like they've had anything done. Getting that right takes precision from everyone, starting with the first person they speak to.

What working here gives you
  • You work beside the surgeon who owns the practice, and your work is seen every day.
  • Where your work can be measured, your pay follows your results.
  • You're coached every week. Dr. Fan has taken an advanced surgical course nearly every year for 20 years, and he expects the same appetite for getting better from his team.
  • People who deliver grow into bigger roles.
How we work
  • We tell the truth. Dr. Fan turns down surgery he doesn't believe in, even when the patient is ready to pay. We say the hard thing to each other, too.
  • Anyone can raise a concern, whatever their title, and it gets heard.
  • Every seat here has a number, and we look at it every week.
  • One test decides every judgment call: would I do this for my mother, my sister or my best friend?
This place is demanding.

The standard is high, the feedback is direct, and you will be measured.

If that makes you lean in, we want to hear from you.

You know you're capable of more.

Last month you beat your number. This month they raised it.

Today you'll dial eighty strangers who never asked to hear from you.

Here, nearly everyone you call asked us first.

Most have looked at something in the mirror for years. They are ready to talk, and nervous about it.

The hard part comes when they ask what it costs. Whether they come in depends on what you say next.

What you get
  1. $5,000 a month base, plus $50 for every qualified consult that shows, from the first one. No cap. About $112,000 a year at our standard (our estimate, not guaranteed).
  2. People who already asked. You rarely cold call.
  3. Weekly one-on-one coaching from Dr. Fan on your real calls.
  4. You learn to talk with people about big-ticket decisions. Our patients decide on everything from nonsurgical treatments ($500 to $10,000) to surgery ($10,000 to $100,000+). You book the surgical consults. Dr. Fan's team closes.
  5. A path into a closer role. For the right long-term performer, a path to leadership.
"I liked knowing where I stood. The expectations were clear, the feedback was direct, and good work got noticed. As I proved myself, I earned more freedom to make decisions and improve how we did things. That combination of accountability and trust brought out my best." (A.P.)
Who you would work for

Dr. Larry Fan: Harvard educated, One of America's Top Plastic Surgeons for the past 10 years. Best Plastic Surgeon in San Francisco, San Francisco Magazine. Board certified. Since 2006, more than 15,000 patients served.

Your job: turn inquiries into consults

Dr. Fan's clinical team handles the medical side. You run the calls that turn an inquiry into a consult that shows. Do it well and they become patients, then the ones who send their friends.

  • Reach every new inquiry within 5 minutes
  • Handle cost, timing, fear and "still looking"
  • Book the right people with Dr. Fan and confirm them
"He challenged me to get better at the hardest part of sales: understanding what someone actually needs. I learned to ask direct questions, talk comfortably about cost and hesitation, and help people decide whether they were ready. I could pursue results and still feel proud of how I treated patients." (M.N.)
The scoreboard
  • 20 qualified shows a week: 15 by day 30, 20 by day 60
  • 240+ dials a day across 120+ leads
  • Every call recorded and coached

Qualified: someone at their first consult who wants a procedure we offer, can come to SF, and has a confirmed budget and timeline.

"I came in thinking about individual leads. I learned to manage a whole pipeline—who needed a response, who needed more time, and where we were losing momentum. Being able to explain my results and improve them made me a much stronger sales professional." (S.T.)
Pay and hours
  • W-2 hourly, non-exempt: $5,000 a month for a 40-hour week ($28.85 an hour)
  • Pay range: $60,000 to $138,000 a year (0 to 30 qualified shows a week)
  • Unqualified shows pay nothing. If more than 1 in 10 of your shows in a month are unqualified, each extra one cancels a qualified show we haven't paid yet. We never take back pay.
  • Paid time off, holidays, 401(k)
  • On-Site in Hayes Valley, full time: Monday to Friday, 12:30 to 9:00 pm Pacific, 30-minute meal break
  • No new contact after 9 pm, no scheduled weekend work, one paid Saturday session before you start
This is for you if
  • You carried a number and beat it
  • You've sold elective healthcare, coordinated patients, or speak Mandarin or Spanish (a plus)
  • You know your best month and can prove it
  • You care how people feel about the way they look
We are not looking for someone who
  • Just wants to cruise
  • Doesn't enjoy competition
  • Blames the leads or the market
  • Would rather their calls weren't recorded and coached
How we hire
  1. Screening questions
  2. A short video from Dr. Fan
  3. Your 2-minute video
  4. A 60-minute video interview with role-played patient calls
  5. A paid Saturday training session
  6. A paid trial
  7. A 90-day introductory period

You hear us from within a few business days at every step.

To apply: answer the screening questions, If you pass, we'll ask you to email a 2 minute video to careers@77plasticsurgery.com.
