Team Leader, Outreach Lab Services in Savannah, Georgia at St. Josephs Candler

Is accountable for the Laboratory Outreach Services. As a result of this responsibility, may be contacted on a 24-hour basis for professional opinions. Organizes the department workflow daily through the assignment of duties to co-workers in such a manner as to achieve daily goals. Knowledgeable of patient registration to include billing and laboratory test procedures with defined automated procedures, calculations and/or indicators that are age dependent (adults, children, adolescents, neonate and geriatric patients). Supervises sendout testing procedures . Responsible for training personnel. Maintains departmental inventory and orders as needed. Must stay abreast of advancements in his/her field. Is responsible for recognizing and implementing additional services to his/her department through collaboration with the Outreach Business Manager, as trends in technology, instrumentation and physician ordering patterns suggest the need. Must set goals and objectives for the department. Evaluates supervised personnel. Assumes responsibility of Outreach Business Manager in their absence.

Bachelors - Preferred

2-3 Years - Required

National Certification - Preferred

Currently registered or registry eligible by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
