About the Role:

As a Line Cook, you will play a critical role in the kitchen by preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. Your primary objective is to ensure that all food items are prepared according to the restaurant’s recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines, maintaining consistency and excellence. You will collaborate closely with other kitchen staff to manage food inventory, maintain cleanliness, and ensure timely delivery of meals to guests. This role demands attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work under pressure while upholding food safety and sanitation standards. Ultimately, your contribution will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of the dining experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary school certification or formal culinary training.
  • Experience with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of menu planning and inventory management.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Certification in food handling or ServSafe.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations and equipment.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and storage.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate meal preparation and timely service.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
