Description:

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items with consistency, quality, and efficiency. This role works as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift)
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for chopping, stirring, lifting, and plating
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., boxes, food supplies, equipment)
  • Repetitive motions such as cutting, slicing, and reaching
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead regularly
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment (hot stoves, grills, and ovens)
  • Ability to safely handle sharp tools and kitchen equipment
  • Tolerance for loud noise levels and crowded workspaces
  • Quick reflexes and coordination to move safely in a busy kitchen
