Responsibilities

  • Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis
  • Perform monthly reconciliations
  • Assist AP Specialist with data entry associated with accounts payable
  • Audit and process credit card bills
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Perform daily journal entries to multiple general ledger accounts
  • Process Online Pickleball Refunds
  • Assist Unit Accountant II with monthly closing procedure including but not limited to, prepaid journal entries and expense write-ups.

Key Qualifications….

  • High school diploma or associate degree in Accounting preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience with accounts payable or general accounting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong analytic abilities
  • Excellent self-accountability for high personal standards of conduct and professionalism
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, return guests, co-workers and management
  • Flexible in approach; can readily adapt to business and team needs and changes
  • Process oriented, highly organized, fast and accurate and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve
  • Capable of managing multiple projects/programs simultaneously
  • Ability to work for and lean into a start-up mentality

This is a In-Person/Hybrid role with our North Kansas City home office location
