POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
This position is responsible and accountable for performing all warehouse functions including the assembly, picking, packing, labeling, and inspection of job site products, items and kits according to company standards as well as completing the necessary data input into the company’s enterprise software system. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager/Lead Warehouse Technician and is a member of the Business Support Services team supporting the mission and goals of a "Best in Class" sales and AV integration program. As an operational member of a dynamic warehousing operation, the Warehouse Technician/Receiving and Fulfillment Clerk will assist in the receiving/fulfillment, assembly, managing and shipping of all required products, hardware, equipment, tools and kits for job site locations to comply with the company’s policies and procedures, including quality, safety, environmental, and business practices.
Essential job functions, duties and responsibilities:
This position is responsible for performing the process of receiving/fulfilling, assembling, picking, packaging and shipping all required products, hardware, equipment, tools and kits for job site locations. This position requires a variety of duties including but not limited to:
● Updating and maintaining files of goods received, fulfilled, staged and shipped by entering into Netsuites and preparing regular shipping, receiving and inventory reports
● Assisting in the shipping/receiving of all freight and ensure the proper storage and maintenance of all inventory in the warehouse
● Working closely with the on-site supervisor to ensure the correct amount of equipment, product and hardware is on site and properly packaged as per company standards
● Maintaining a stock of pre-assembled hardware kits as well as managing the inventory of required products and hardware
● Maintaining a detailed inventory and log of hardware, tools, products and job site kits
● Loading/unloading trucks and containers and moving merchandise by packaging, lifting items as necessary and operating forklifts and pallet jacks
● Performing and completing custodial/maintenance tasks throughout warehouse and office suite
● Performing other duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
● Strong communication skills and experience working in small teams of work groups
● Computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office productivity software including Microsoft Word and Excel
● Familiarity with desktop software programs and enterprise systems such as G Suites, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc. is preferred
● Experience and comfort with hand tools and small power tools.
● Ability to learn new tasks quickly
● Ability to make important decisions under tight timelines and in a fast-paced environment
● Successfully complete criminal background check, motor vehicle review, physical and drug test prior to start
● Problem-solving and time management skills
● Friendly and approachable
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
● Ability to lift 75 pounds and complete forklift, ladder and other safety training
