Job Description

Marketing Generalist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Marketing Generalist based in Canada.

This is a high-impact, hands-on marketing role at the intersection of technology, storytelling, and innovation within the utility and infrastructure space. The Marketing Generalist will play a key role in shaping how complex, technical solutions are communicated to industry professionals and decision-makers. Working closely with engineering and subject matter experts, the role involves translating highly technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives that support growth and customer engagement. Beyond content creation, the position spans campaign execution, product marketing support, and community engagement initiatives. It offers strong variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to help define a growing marketing function from the ground up. This is an environment where adaptability, curiosity, and execution speed are highly valued.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and manage high-quality written content, including blog posts, white papers, case studies, press releases, and thought leadership materials tailored to a technical B2B audience.
  • Translate complex engineering and utility concepts into clear, accessible messaging in collaboration with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders.
  • Support product marketing initiatives by creating and maintaining product one-pagers, brochures, and sales enablement materials aligned with company positioning.
  • Contribute to demand generation efforts, including email campaigns, nurture streams, content distribution, and cross-channel campaign execution.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns end-to-end, ensuring alignment across teams, timely delivery of assets, and consistent messaging across channels.
  • Support client engagement and community-building initiatives such as webinars, user events, newsletters, and industry-facing communications.
  • Assist with marketing operations, including event logistics, conference planning, and management of supporting materials and resources.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B marketing, ideally within enterprise software or highly technical product environments.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of modern marketing practices, including campaign execution, content strategy, and product marketing fundamentals.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts in fast-paced environments.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to enhance productivity, ideation, and content development workflows.
  • Highly adaptable, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work within Canada, with flexible working hours (core hours typically 10:00 AM–3:00 PM).
  • Competitive compensation package with stock options, allowing participation in the company’s long-term success.
  • Health spending account and comprehensive benefits package supporting employee wellbeing.
  • Paid time off and flexible work arrangements promoting work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to shape and grow a marketing function within a rapidly scaling technology company.
  • Autonomy over a wide range of responsibilities with strong exposure to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborative, remote-first culture with a strong emphasis on ownership, innovation, and teamwork.
