Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Lab Assistant to join our team at Bolivar Family Care Center. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the department: This fast-paced, rural health clinic (RHC) provides complete family care, well baby exams, well woman exams, Medicare wellness visits, behavioral health visits, immunizations and same day appointments. This clinic is recognized by The Compliance Team as an Exemplary Provider®. Exemplary Provider®-accredited status is granted to those healthcare providers who demonstrate outstanding patient care practices and compliance with The Compliance Team’s comprehensive Safety-Honesty-Caring® quality standards.

A typical day includes: responsibility for collecting and processing blood samples for the laboratory, routine and specialized x-ray examinations, if trained and assigned.

• Performing venipuncture with minimal discomfort for the patient.
• Submitting specimen with correctly labeled tube and requisition.

Job Requirements:

• Education: HS diploma
• Experience: One year or more experience preferred, including adults, pediatrics, infants, and geriatrics. One to three months of on-the-job training.
• Skills: organization, able to work in fast-paced environment, multitasking
• Licensure/Certification: N/A
• Physical: ability to stand for the majority of the shift with the remaining 10% working at a computer.
