Job Description

Description:
  • Create and update detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD and Microvellum software, transforming architects/designer’s intent into manufacturable products.
  • Create production packages for manufacturing, including programs for CNC cutting
  • When required, perform on-site field measurements, including with 3D laser templating equipment
  • Coordinate the efforts of either in-house and/or outsource drafting vendors as the department director requires
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a 2-year degree in related field preferred; experience may suffice in lieu of educational requirements
  • 3-5 year of professional drafting experience preferred.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and architectural drawings
  • High attention to detail with the ability to communicate intent through drawings
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team to coordinate multiple projects running simultaneously
  • Strong AutoCAD 2D skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
  • Knowledge of/experience with woodworking a plus
  • Microvellum experience a plus
  • Experience with CNC programming a plus
