Who we want… (Requirements)

• Pursing Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is preferred.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, including site layout, grading, drainage, and utility coordination is preferred.
•Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); exposure to Bluebeam or stormwater modeling software is a plus.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
•Capable of independent research with guidance by senior team members.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
•Energetic, self-motivated, and committed to professional development.

•Must comply with safety requirements, including wearing appropriate PPE (hardhat, safety glasses, ear protection, and work boots) during site visits.



Qualifications

What we expect… (Essential Functions)


• Assist in the development of civil design drawings and specifications, including site plans, grading, and utility layouts.
• Support the compilation and analysis of site data, such as topography, access, utilities, and zoning regulations.
• Help prepare basic calculations for earthwork, drainage, and utility quantities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in the preparation of field reports, submittals, and RFIs, maintaining logs and documentation.
• Use Civil3D software to create 2D and 3D models of infrastructure components, with support from senior designers.
• Assist in site visits and field observations to collect data and verify design accuracy.
• Assist in reviewing civil codes and standards for compliance and prepare documentation for internal and external review.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and consultants to support design coordination and project execution.
• Other duties as assigned.

Periodic overnight travel to visit jobsites where the ability to traverse undeveloped terrain may be required.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear. They may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.
