Des Moines Wellness Center, part of Quadrant Health Group, is hiring a Remote Mental Health Therapist to join our growing Virtual Outpatient Program!

We are seeking compassionate and motivated clinicians to provide virtual therapy services to individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Live outside Iowa? You may still qualify! Candidates must hold an active, qualifying Iowa clinical license and meet applicable licensing and telehealth requirements in the state where they physically work.

We welcome independently licensed therapists and eligible associate-level clinicians working toward independent licensure.

As a Remote Mental Health Therapist, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based clinical care through our Virtual Outpatient Program.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions through secure telehealth platforms.

• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Facilitate a minimum of two virtual evening therapy groups per week.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Utilize clinical assessment tools, including PHQ-9, GAD-7, and C-SSRS.

• Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and appropriate referrals when necessary.

• Collaborate with clinical leadership and multidisciplinary treatment teams.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Kipu EMR within required timelines.

• Participate in virtual clinical meetings and case consultations.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable telehealth regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related clinical field.

• Active Iowa clinical license or qualifying credential in good standing, such as:

  • LISW – Licensed Independent Social Worker

  • LMSW – Licensed Master Social Worker, with appropriate supervision

  • LMHC – Licensed Mental Health Counselor

  • T-LMHC – Temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor, with appropriate supervision

  • Other qualifying Iowa clinical licenses approved for the position

• Eligibility to provide psychotherapy via telehealth under applicable licensing and supervision requirements.

• Clinical experience or training in assessments, treatment planning, and psychotherapy.

• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical judgment skills.

• Availability to facilitate at least two virtual evening therapy groups per week.

• Reliable high-speed internet and a private, confidential workspace.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years of clinical experience.

• Experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Previous experience providing individual or group therapy through telehealth.

• Familiarity with Kipu EMR or similar electronic health record systems.

• Independent clinical licensure.
