Job Description Summary:

The Field Operations Controller supports the preparation, execution, and monitoring of test activities and resources for various operational tests. This role requires analyzing task requirements, coordinating resources, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support preparation of test execution and test support Task Implementation Plans (TIP).
  • Analyze Government Task Authorization Request (TAR) and determine contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with TAR managers for task clarification.
  • Determine resources needed and initiate work orders and purchase orders as necessary.
  • Establish and monitor suspense for all internal and external actions.
  • Provide test planning support, review draft test plans, and identify potential issues.
  • Prepare technical commentaries and participate in test planning meetings.
  • Develop training materials and lesson plans; present training orientation classes.
  • Coordinate staffing of field organization prior to execution phase of testing.
  • Maintain status of vehicles and systems, and player and equipment correlation tables.
  • Ensure adequate supply stocks and collection of essential data elements.
  • Direct support for Test Operations Center (TOC) activities.
  • Coordinate timely installations of communications equipment for field tests.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

General Duties:

  • Follow established procedures to ensure quality, safety, and security standards.
  • Perform assigned tasks in closely related fields.
  • Participate in formal, on-the-job, and cross training.
Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must hold US Citizenship.
  • Hold an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must possess a Common Access Card/LAN.
  • Valid State driver's license and car insurance for access to military installations and travel.
  • Eligible for and able to obtain a U.S. Government motor vehicle operator's permit for assigned class of vehicle.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Associate’s Degree in an associated discipline desired; two years' relevant experience may be substituted for each of the two years of college.
  • Five years’ experience supporting or conducting operational or similar testing.
  • Experience in data collection, test operations, and data management.
  • MS Access database development oversight experience.
  • Supervisory experience and support for logistics.
  • Ability to travel as required.
