Lead Sign Installation Tech - Tampa, FL in Tampa, Florida at Stones River Electric

Stones River Electric is seeking a qualified / experienced LEAD Sign Installation Tech to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction, experience working safely at heights, and the ability to operate cranes and rigging equipment. Possess strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering quality work with excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and remove commercial signage of various types and sizes.
• Safely operate cranes, lifts, and rigging equipment to position and secure signs.
• Follow engineered drawings, and installation instructions.
• Work from elevated platforms, ladders, and rooftops as required.
• Communicate effectively with General Contractors, customers, and team members.
• Maintain accurate job documentation through the company’s service app.
• Perform basic field fabrication and assembly tasks; including welding.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
• Travel to job sites as needed (some overnight travel may be required).

Qualifications/Skills:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certifications in sign fabrication or a related field is a plus.
• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience installing various electrical sign types. Strong knowledge of sign-making materials (e.g., metals, plastics, vinyl); Installation experience with wall mounted and ground signs.
• Proficiency with power tools, welding equipment, and machinery. Cutting Torch and Welding skills required.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow design specifications precisely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Comfortable working from heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use a smartphone or tablet (technology) for job management apps.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks. Comfort working in an industrial environment with varying temperatures and noise levels

Conditions:

Primarily workshop-based with occasional outdoor installation or delivery tasks. Some overtime or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
