Overnight Direct Support Professional Needed in Fort Myers - Twin Brothers in Fort Myers, Florida at Community Resource Network of Florida INC

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

Twin brothers, both 18 years old, are in need of a caregiver to provide overnight support. Both individuals will be starting college this year and require assistance with total care needs, including activities of daily living (ADLs), personal hygiene tasks, and support with their overnight routine.

The ideal caregiver will be comfortable supporting two individuals, providing attentive care, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the night.

Schedule: Monday to Sunday from 11pm-7am

Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks
• Meal preparation and light cleaning
• Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Complete daily progress notes

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Are 18 years of age or older
