Job Overview:
The TelePsychotherapist is a fully remote clinical role providing telehealth services to pediatric patients and families physically located in New Jersey. Services are designed to improve emotional regulation, adaptive coping, behavioral functioning, and engagement in daily activities. The Tele psychotherapist will provide services primarily through secure telehealth platforms while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary medical, behavioral health, and rehabilitation providers across the Children’s Specialized Hospital network,
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field
- Fully active and unrestricted New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- 1 year of professional Social Work experience
- Maintain a private, professional, HIPAA compliant workspace with reliable internet connectivity
Preferred:
- Doctorate Degree
- One year of Psychotherapy experience
- American Heart Association BLS
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- NJ LCSW, LMFT or LPC
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full time
- Fully Remote
- 40 hours per week
- 45-60 minute sessions
- High demand hours 3-8pm ET
- Weekend hours
Essential Functions:
- Provides effective individual, family group psychotherapy as indicated
- Identifies realistic goals for psychotherapy
- Attends program development and case conferences as indicated for patients treated or evaluated
- Provides in services to staff and community agencies as requested by Supervisor
- Disseminates findings accurately and sensitively, according to Department policy
- Provides supervision to staff, fellows, interns and externs as indicated
- Provides effective team consultation as needed
- Must maintain a private, professional, HIPAA compliant workspace with reliable internet connectivity suitable for telehealth service delivery
- Flexibility in scheduling and clinical responsibilities
