Job Overview:
Join our dedicated behavioral health team as a Licensed Social Worker, where you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to individuals navigating anxiety, panic, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, and other complex mental health challenges. Located within our Adult Outpatient department, you will conduct clinical interviews, perform age-specific assessments, and design individualized psychotherapy treatment plans. This is an impactful opportunity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to improve long-term clinical and social outcomes for patients across the lifespan.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Active Social Worker License in the state of New Jersey (LSW or LCSW).
- Demonstrated knowledge of human growth and development over the full lifespan.
- Proven ability to interpret complex patient data, assess age-specific safety issues, and identify criteria for victims of abuse or neglect.
Preferred:
- One (1) year of prior clinical experience in a behavioral or mental health outpatient setting.

- Status: Full-Time
Essential Functions:
- Assess patient needs dynamically through clinical interviews, thorough chart/history reviews, and the utilization of standardized clinical instruments.
- Design, implement, and facilitate individualized treatment plans, including individual, group, and family psychotherapy sessions.
- Evaluate, track, and document patient clinical outcomes in strict accordance with department policies and established record-keeping standards.
- Interpret the nature of illnesses and prescribed courses of treatment clearly for patients and their families, ensuring open channels of communication.
- Serve as an active member of the multidisciplinary care team, participating in planning conferences to review and update treatment and discharge plans.
- Collaborate fluidly with alternative hospital programs and external community agencies with which patients and families are actively involved.
- Obtain appropriate, legal releases of information and maintain up-to-date, highly confidential electronic patient medical files.
- Render specialized, age-specific care across all designated populations, ranging from infants, children, and adolescents to adults and geriatric patients.
