Pay and Location:

  • This is a part-time (20 hours per week) position with a starting hourly rate of $34.00 - $39.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • This hybrid role is expected to be 80% remote / 20% onsite, subject to change based on agency need

Note: This position is benefits eligible. Benefits are available to employees working at least 20 hours per week, with costs varying by FTE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Employee Engagement

  • Foster a positive work environment by ensuring employees feel valued, supported, and heard.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives in collaboration with leadership.
  • Administer employee feedback programs throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen employee recruitment and retention.
  • Assist in evaluating employee engagement initiatives and recommending improvements.
  • Stay current on best practices related to employee engagement.

Learning and Development

  • Develop and deliver learning and development opportunities for employees.
  • Coordinate employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Administer and maintain the agency's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Coordinate required employee training and compliance programs.
  • Attend and represent Wonderland at county/state-sponsored training events.

Taskforce & Community Partnerships

  • Coordinate Wonderland's Inclusion & Care Taskforce and related initiatives.
  • Maintain community partnerships and represent Wonderland in external meetings, collaborations and initiatives.

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a neutral resource for workplace concerns and employment-related inquiries.
  • Conduct background research, interviews, and debrief meetings as needed.
  • Identify possible resolutions to conflict.
  • Maintain inquiry documentation and related records, as appropriate.

Projects & Organizational Initiatives

  • Support organizational initiatives and special projects.
  • Develop employee communications and resources.
  • Assist with implementation of organizational programs and initiatives.
  • Research best practices and support continuous improvement.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Two years of professional experience in employee engagement, human resources, learning and development, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities preferred.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, Amharic, Mandarin Chinese, Tigrinya, or Russian, are highly valued.
  • Commitment to incorporating trauma-informed care practices into daily work.
  • Wonderland employees are mandated reporters of suspected child abuse or neglect to DCYF (CPS) and/or law enforcement.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, education, communications, social services, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Founded more than 50 years ago, Wonderland’s mission is to provide a strong and equitable foundation for children and their families with diverse needs and abilities to flourish through therapy, education, advocacy, and resources. We reach hundreds of families every month through Early Support programs & services and Hope RISING Clinic for Prenatal Substance Exposure. Our direct service providers are uniquely trained to provide trauma-informed and FASD-informed care.
