- Create recovery plans for late, constrained, or high-priority customer orders.
B. Customer Order Coverage and Availability Improvement
- Improve product availability by aligning assembly output with customer demand and shortage priorities.
- Monitor open customer orders, backlog, and unfulfilled demand linked to kit or assembly availability.
- Coordinate shortage resolution with Materials Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and inbound logistics.
- Support decisions on allocation, prioritization, component substitution escalation, and order recovery.

- Lead regular planning and shortage review routines with relevant functions.
- Establish a clear escalation process for unavailable components, delayed assembly, and urgent customer orders.
- Create visibility of schedule priorities, constraints, and expected recovery dates.
- Support alignment between customer promises and realistic warehouse execution capability.
- Train local users on planning standards, CMS discipline, and schedule management best practices where needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Master Scheduling, Supply Planning, Production Planning, Materials Planning, or Distribution Planning within a manufacturing, assembly, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Proven hands-on experience supporting warehouse kitting, light assembly, value-added distribution, manufacturing support operations, or similar operational settings.
- Strong working knowledge of Epicor CMS, including MRP, work order management, inventory planning, planning parameters, and the impact of master data on operational execution.
- Demonstrated success in improving product availability, customer order coverage, fill rates, OTIF performance, backlog recovery, and overall customer service performance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze planning data, inventory reports, shortage reports, backlog information, and operational KPIs to drive decision-making.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional activities involving Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, and Leadership teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, demand and supply balancing, scheduling processes, and material flow within distribution and assembly operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate complex demand, inventory, and supply signals into clear execution priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align multiple functions under customer-driven deadlines and operational pressure.
- Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset with the ability to operate both strategically and at a transactional level when required.
