Are you thinking about advancing your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Montreal-Nord, QC site located on Bd Albert-Hudon is looking for a new Human Resources Manager, 2nd Shift to join our Contract Logistics team.

How you create impact

The HR Manager will lead all HR functions for a high-volume sort center operating within a 4PL logistics environment. This role provides strategic and operational HR support to ensure a compliant, engaged, and high-performing workforce while partnering closely with site leadership and the 4PL provider.

  • Partner with site leadership and 4PL operations teams to align HR strategies with business objectives; support organizational design, workforce optimization, and productivity initiatives.
  • Assist with peak season staffing strategies and labor flexibility planning; lead workforce planning based on operational volumes and labor requirements.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention for hourly and salaried employees; coordinate staffing levels, agency labor usage, and workforce performance with the 4PL provider.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters; conduct investigations, resolve workplace issues, and ensure consistent policy application.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, inclusion, and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and 4PL requirements while maintaining audit readiness and overseeing attendance, timekeeping, and disciplinary processes.
  • Drive performance management initiatives aligned with productivity, quality, and attendance KPIs while coaching managers on employee development, performance improvement, succession planning, and talent development
  • Partner with corporate HR to support compensation and benefits programs, pay practices, overtime administration, market alignment, and the delivery of leadership, operational, and safety training initiatives.
  • Track and analyze key HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and productivity trends, to provide data-driven recommendations and serve as the primary liaison between HR, operations, and the 4PL provider while fostering strong vendor relationships and company culture.

What we would like you to bring
  • Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • Experience supporting outsourced operations, including 3PL/4PL providers or staffing agencies.
  • Proven ability to support high-volume hourly workforce environments.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Proficiency in French and English (English-speaking clients)
