Specialist 2, Regional Service

The Specialist 2, Regional Service role provides advanced technical expertise and customer support for commercial vehicle systems and safety technologies.
This position plays a key role in helping customers, partners, and internal teams troubleshoot complex product challenges and improve system performance.
The specialist will deliver technical training, support product adoption, and contribute to the success of regional service initiatives.
Working remotely with extensive travel, this role combines hands-on technical problem solving with customer engagement and education.

Accountabilities:

The Specialist 2, Regional Service is responsible for delivering technical support, training, and troubleshooting expertise across commercial vehicle products and systems. The role requires strong customer focus, advanced technical knowledge, and the ability to independently manage complex service challenges.

  • Provide technical service and training support for commercial vehicle products, including OEMs, distributors, fleets, trailer customers, and internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot advanced air systems, foundation braking systems, and electronic safety technologies such as anti-lock braking systems, electronic stability control, collision avoidance systems, and tire pressure monitoring systems.
  • Conduct customer training sessions, including factory product schools and regional technical programs, focused on proper installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Install, remove, monitor, and test brake and safety system components in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Support regional sales and account teams by providing product expertise, customer guidance, and technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain training materials for new product introductions and ongoing technical education programs.
  • Assist with regional service strategies, customer engagement initiatives, and product improvement activities.
  • Analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement creative solutions to improve product performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers while ensuring timely responses to technical requests and service needs.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with commercial vehicle systems, strong mechanical and electrical abilities, and the communication skills needed to support customers and internal stakeholders in a technical environment.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience troubleshooting commercial vehicle systems.
  • Strong experience with mechanical and electrical components used in heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Advanced understanding of air systems, braking technologies, electronic controls, and commercial vehicle maintenance practices.
  • Associate degree required, preferably in Heavy Automotive Equipment Technology or a related field; a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.
  • ASE or similar brake system certification is preferred.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify causes and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with experience delivering training to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a customer-focused environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic diagnostic equipment, digital volt meters, computer diagnostics, and hand tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, team-based organization.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically 75%–80% of the time, with occasional international travel.
