Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable Inspections Technician to join our solar team. As an Inspections Technician you will work directly with jurisdictional authorities (AHJs) and their inspectors, customers, and field team members to be present for and complete assigned inspections. You will be responsible for gathering required documents, being on time for the inspection time, communicating with the customer, collecting on-site photos, and submitting documentation. You will be responsible for attending inspections in and around Allentown and its surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete pre-work prior to scheduled inspection to ensure documents are available and customers are prepared
  • Arrive to site at the assigned time and at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled inspection time
  • Conduct a pre-inspection walk around and fix any minor issues
  • Support the Inspector and provide any documents or answer questions as needed
  • Complete simple fixes, such as placing placards, as issues are identified
  • Listen and record information from the Inspector about the assigned job or other jurisdictional requirements for future jobs, communicate those to the Inspection team
  • Follow SOPs including collecting on-site photos, completing work checklists, and uploading data to the customer relationship management (CRM) or scheduling software
  • Communicate with customers in a professional and effective manner making sure to create a positive customer experience

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the solar or renewable energy industry is preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers, field employees, and corporate staff
  • Ability to navigate websites and customer relationship management software
