Electromechanical Assembler (Manufacturing)

  • Location: On-site in Danvers, MA, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Role Description

Assemble components, subassemblies, and finished electromechanical products using documented procedures and specifications.

Key duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned:

  • Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and finished products of moderate complexity as prescribed by drawings and/or procedures.
  • Utilize Standard Operating Procedures to perform daily tasks.
  • Perform dimensional measurements to verify conformance to specified tolerances.
  • Conduct tests of electromechanical products as prescribed by drawings and/or procedures.
  • Thoroughly document work performed (i.e. but not limited to parts used, test results) on data sheets, manufacturing records, and other components of the device history record (DHR).
  • Ensure proper care of components, tools, and test equipment, and ensure calibration.
  • Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • Ability to operate various hand tools including: soldering and wire crimping tools, micrometers.
  • Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience

  • High School diploma and advanced technical training with 3+ years’ experience performing in a similar role, with the ability to demonstrate a high degree of mechanical and electrical skills sufficient to perform in the position OR Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field or 2+ years of experience repairing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
  • Five years of experience performing troubleshooting and PM on basic electronic, electromechanical or medical equipment following current standards, code, and procedures to ensure safe and effective operation of those devices.
  • Ability to document and communicate technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
  • Experience interpreting schematic diagrams of basic biomedical or electronic equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry or other regulated industry (Preferred)

Skill & Abilities

  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and procedures.
  • Ability to provide detailed documentation of work results.
  • Basic math skills include adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and computing rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Understanding of AC/DC circuitry and basic mechanical technology
  • Operate with efficiency and sense of urgency
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing environments.
  • Ability to deliver results in an uncertain environment, ability to multitask and prioritize.

Physical Requirements

  • The employee frequently is required to stand, sit or walk for long period of times; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
  • Lift light to heavy objects with support from other employees, tools or other resources, up to 50 lbs.
  • Interaction with x-ray devices; for this reason strict safety and tracking programs are in place, requiring the utilization of dose monitoring equipment either full time or as necessitated by situation
