Job Description

UX/UI Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UX/UI Designer based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to shape end-to-end digital experiences for creators and fans within a fast-growing, community-driven platform. You will design intuitive, high-impact user journeys that translate complex creator workflows into simple, engaging, and conversion-focused experiences. Working at the intersection of product, design, and e-commerce, you will contribute to both strategic product direction and hands-on execution. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and experimentation-driven, where design decisions directly influence user engagement and business growth. You will also play a key role in evolving a modern design system and elevating UI quality across web and storefront experiences. This is a highly visible role where your work will be shipped quickly and seen by a global audience of creators and fans.

Accountabilities:
  • Design end-to-end UX solutions across creator and fan experiences, from discovery through production-ready workflows, ensuring clarity, usability, and conversion-focused outcomes.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that validate ideas and communicate product direction effectively to stakeholders.
  • Translate complex operational and creator workflows into simple, intuitive, and visually compelling user experiences.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate assumptions and continuously improve product decisions.
  • Design and refine high-quality UI across web experiences, ensuring strong visual hierarchy, typography, layout, and interaction design.
  • Contribute to the evolution and consistency of a scalable design system across digital surfaces.
  • Own Shopify storefront design and implementation, including theme customization and end-to-end execution of storefront experiences.
  • Optimize e-commerce experiences for storytelling, usability, and conversion performance.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, growth, and leadership teams to deliver cohesive and high-impact solutions.
  • Support ideation workshops, design reviews, and cross-functional alignment sessions.
  • Maintain high standards for accessibility, usability, and design excellence across all deliverables.
  • Support adjacent creative needs such as marketing assets, social content, and campaign visuals when required.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design, ideally supported by formal education in Design, HCI, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Proven experience designing and shipping digital products, particularly customer-facing web or e-commerce experiences.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify, including theme customization, storefront architecture, and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, UI best practices, visual hierarchy, and design systems.
  • Experience designing for conversion and applying e-commerce best practices.
  • Ability to independently own projects from concept to launch while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong collaboration skills with product, engineering, and business stakeholders in cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured, actionable design solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bonus: experience with certifications in UX/UI or Shopify, entrepreneurial mindset, and comfort working in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
Benefits:
  • Remote work flexibility across Canada with access to collaborative hubs
  • Comprehensive health and dental coverage from day one
  • 4 weeks of paid vacation including birthday time off
  • Additional holiday shutdown week
  • Annual paid volunteer day
  • RRSP matching program up to 3%
  • Health and wellness allowance
  • Home office setup allowance
  • Monthly phone allowance
  • Maternity and parental leave top-up program
  • Education assistance and professional development support
  • Employee referral and tenure recognition programs
  • Social events both virtual and in-person
  • Competitive compensation package with performance-based variable pay
  • Salary range: 90,000–115,000 CAD base depending on experience and qualifications
