Wash and Fold Laundry Associate in Carlisle, Pennsylvania at Classic Drycleaners

Position Summary

Our Wash and Fold Laundry Associate is responsible for providing high-quality laundry services by invoicing, sorting, drying, folding, packaging, and preparing customer laundry orders. This position plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction through attention to detail, efficiency, and garment care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create customer orders using drycleaning software
• Handle customer orders individually to ensure accurate processing, this includes weighing of laundry
• Follow any special care instructions
• Load and operate washers and dryers according to company procedures
• Fold, package, and label completed orders accurately, ensuring each customer’s laundry remains separate
• Verify orders for completeness and quality before customer pickup or delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and supplies
• Monitor machine performance and report maintenance issues to management
• Follow all safety, chemical handling, and operational procedures

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Criminal background check required
• 18 years or older

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to grasp items, lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds from place to place
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements
• Ability to work in warm and hot environments and around laundry equipment
