Respiratory Therapist (RT) in Overland Park, Kansas at Med Resources

Med Resources, the premier provider of Respiratory and Home Medical Equipment in the Midwest and Georgia is seeking a reliable and highly motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in improving patients’ quality of life through education, setup, and compliance support for respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient setups, education, and follow-up for CPAP/BiPAP therapy, oxygen equipment, and related supplies
• Provide instruction regarding proper use, cleaning, safety, and maintenance of equipment
• Complete mask fittings and assist patients with therapy comfort and compliance
• Review therapy reports and troubleshoot equipment or compliance concerns
• Communicate with physicians, referral sources, and healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate documentation according to company policies, payer requirements, and accreditation standards
• Assist with clinical assessments and ongoing patient support
• Work collaboratively with customer service, operations, and management

Qualifications:

• Current Kansas Respiratory Therapist license required
• CRT or RRT credential preferred
• Previous DME, home healthcare, sleep therapy, or CPAP experience preferred
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills required
