Position Summary
Stellar Energy Global Infrastructure (SEGI) is seeking a VP Fabrication to lead the successful execution of outsourced fabrication activities supporting company projects. This role will select and manage subcontracted fabrication facilities, ensuring fabrication partners safely deliver modules that meet SEGI contractual requirements, engineering specifications, quality standards, budget expectations, and project schedules. The position provides technical and operational oversight of multiple fabricators while partnering closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, Construction, Quality, Logistics, and EHS to proactively manage fabrication performance, mitigate project risks, and drive continuous improvement across the company's fabrication supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead module fabrication strategy development in line with SEGI design philosophy
- Manage the supplier evaluation and selection process
- Qualify new fabricators and verify they possess the necessary capacity, manpower, equipment, certifications, and technical capabilities.
- Audit fabricator’s QMS and manage SEGI inspections at fabricator’s manufacturing facility
- Define effective fabrication scope of work (SOW) packages and ensure seamless handoff between SEGI engineering and fabricator’s engineering and production teams.
- Develop and maintain fabrication vendor scorecards and milestone tracking for all active projects.
- Participate in fabrication readiness reviews before production begins. Validate long-lead material availability and fabrication sequencing.
- Monitor production progress against baseline schedules, track schedule variances and implement recovery plans
- Coordinate fabrication priorities with Project Management and Supply Chain to support overall project execution.
- Provide executive-level reporting on fabrication schedule performance. Conduct quarterly business reviews with key fabrication partners.
- Identify fabrication risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) with customers, inspectors, engineering, and quality teams.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in industrial fabrication, manufacturing, EPC construction, project management, or a related heavy industrial environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing fabrication activities, supplier performance, or manufacturing operations for complex industrial projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating third-party fabrication subcontractors or multiple fabrication facilities.
- Working knowledge of structural steel fabrication, pressure vessels, piping systems, mechanical assemblies, welding processes, and industrial manufacturing practices.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, fabrication specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), welding documentation, and quality records.
- Knowledge of fabrication quality standards, including inspection processes, material traceability, and turnover documentation.
- Understanding of project scheduling, fabrication sequencing, production planning, and critical path management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
Preferred
- Experience supporting EPC projects in the power generation, district energy, LNG, data center, industrial manufacturing, or process industries.
- Experience working with global module fabrication partners and international manufacturing operations.
- Experience utilizing ERP systems and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, SAP, or equivalent).
- Professional certifications such as: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, OSHA 30-Hour Construction or General Industry Certification, etc.
Location
- Remote will be considered with occasional travel to Headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. Jacksonville, FL preferred.
