Outside Sales at South West Plumbing Heating Air Electric – Greater Seattle Area, Washington

About the Role:

South West Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric is seeking energetic, motivated 1099 Outside Sales (Outdoor Canvassers) to join our rapidly growing Electrical division. In this fully commissioned role, you’ll be responsible for generating qualified residential leads for electrical panel upgrades, temporary power setups, and backup generator installations.

You’ll work door-to-door in assigned territories, educating homeowners, identifying service opportunities, and setting appointments for our licensed electricians. This is a great opportunity for motivated self-starters who thrive outdoors, enjoy interacting with people, and want to earn performance-based income.

What You'll Do:

• Canvass residential neighborhoods on foot to generate qualified leads
• Engage with homeowners to introduce our electrical services
• Identify interest in panel upgrades, generator installations, or temporary power needs
• Qualify leads and collect essential customer information
• Submit leads through our system and coordinate with the Electrical team
• Represent our brand professionally and follow company safety protocols

Compensation:

• $50 per qualified lead (lead must include all required info and meet basic criteria)
• 2% commission on closed sales resulting from your lead
• Weekly payouts for approved and validated leads

What Makes a Qualified Lead:

• Homeowner present and interested in learning more
• Includes name, phone number, property address, and reason for electrical interest
• Customer agrees to a scheduled in-home consultation
• Lead must be in one of our active service ZIP codes

• Outgoing, energetic, and confident speaking to strangers
• Reliable transportation and smartphone
• Physically able to walk door-to-door for multiple hours
• Professional, positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Prior canvassing, solar, roofing, or home services experience a plus

Contractor Notes:

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You must be able to manage your own schedule, tools, and tax obligations. You will not be classified as an employee and must sign a contractor agreement before canvassing begins.
