Surgical Technician at Truvista Surgery Center – Troy, Michigan

Truvista Surgical Center is currently hiring for a Surgical Technician at their Troy location. This position is full-time Monday - Thursday. No late nights and no weekends.

Under the supervision of the Charge Tech and at the direction of the OR Circulator & Physician, performs scrubbing and assisting duties within and support of the sterile field during operative procedures.

Assures proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation and equipment.

Demonstrates knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic technique.

Demonstrates knowledge of equipment, instruments, procedures, implants and supplies used in the operating room.

Able to work at an accelerated pace and in situations that demand patience, tact, stamina, and endurance.

Ensures materials and instruments for procedures are ordered and available as needed

High school diploma or equivalent. CST certification or documented performance in role.

Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 60 days of employment.

Ability to relate and work effectively with others

Demonstrates skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards

Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement

Previous experience is preferred
