Domestic Transportation & Distribution Analys at AGC Chemical Americas – Exton, Pennsylvania

AGCCA is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Domestic Transportation & Distribution Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing our domestic transportation and warehouse network, ensuring efficient and cost-effective product distribution, and contributing to the overall success of our supply chain operations. The Ideal candidate will also have vast experience in Domestic Transportation, sourcing and managing, as well as Warehousing management and sourcing. This role requires strong data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. This role will also require occasional travel to external warehouse partners to build and maintain mutually beneficial and productive business relationships.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains third party warehousing relationship. Minimize outside warehousing costs.
• Maintains domestic freight relationships with both LTL and TL carriers. Analyzing domestic freight costs and assessing what carriers provide the most efficient transit, service & cost for each lane.
• Works closely with AGCCA sales to provide freight cost information and quotes to assist them in pricing decisions.
• Processes/Monitors all domestic freight claims with carriers.
• Educates AGCCA employees on domestic transportation/warehousing
• Publishes monthly reports on domestic transportation activities and cost saving initiatives.
• Perform Regular scheduled warehouse partner site visits and audits.
• Work closely with Supply Chain teams to ensure proper communication and Inventory accuracy.
• Completes special assignments as requested by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Business major preferred
• Three to five years’ experience in logistics required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and analytical skills and computer skills.
• Experience with ERP systems a plus.
• Must have ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
• Domestic travel required (5%-10%)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access office machinery, accomplish tasks, or travel from one worksite to another.
• Constantly operates a computer, keyboard, copier, printer, and other office productivity machinery.
• No adverse environmental conditions expected.
