New Hampshire Ball Bearings Astro Division is located in Laconia, NHheart of the scenic Lakes Region. Astro is a World-Class 450+ person, climate-controlled advanced manufacturing facility producing high precision metal aerospace components.

Position will manage all aspects of Purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations. Core responsibilities and competencies:

• Negotiating, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases
• Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with changing needs and market conditions
• Develop and manage purchasing budgets and forecasts
• Monitor supplier and vendor compliance with contractual agreements
• Strong computer skills
• Knowledge with Automated Manufacturing Systems (MRP ERP)
• Self-motivated with strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines
• International Supply Chain Management experience
• Experience in VMI
• Seven years progressive management and supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Bachelors degree required in business, materials management, operations management or related field. APICS-Purchasing Certification a plus
