Position Snapshot: The IPA/Navigator Program provides competent, appropriate, and disability-accessible enrollment services to individuals, families, and small businesses and their employees who apply for health insurance through the New York State of Health Marketplace.

Essential Functions:

• Provide in-person assistance to those applying for health insurance coverage at the time of initial application and annual renewal.
• Educate potential enrollees about the Marketplace and the types of insurance programs offered.
• Facilitate the selection of a Qualified Health Plan in the Marketplace, or when appropriate, an Insurance Affordability Program.
• Provide information and assistance to small businesses that provide health insurance to their employees through the SHOP.
• Conduct public education activities to raise awareness about the Marketplace, including outreach to small businesses.
• Maintain expertise in eligibility, enrollment, and program specification for various insurance programs available through the Marketplace.

Candidate Requirements need to include:

• Associates Degree in Health and Human Services or related fields, or
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to perform the essential functions of this position to the satisfaction of AIM’s CEO.
• Dependable vehicle and acceptable driving record.
• Experience with clients in substance abuse recovery.
