Shop Inventory Specialist in Long Beach, California at ROCK STEADY PRODUCTIONS LLC

Rock Steady Productions is seeking an organized, proactive Shop Inventory Specialist to support our fabrication, production, and installation teams. This position is responsible for maintaining tool and supply inventory, preparing hardware packages and installation kits, and ensuring materials are organized, stocked, and ready for upcoming projects.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable about tools and hardware, and able to anticipate project needs while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage tool check-in and check-out, ensuring tools are accounted for, inspected, and properly stored.
• Maintain inventory of hardware, adhesives, paint, fasteners, janitorial supplies, and other shop consumables.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the Material Inventory Manager.
• Prepare and stage hardware packages, tool kits, and installation cleaning kits for upcoming projects.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, installation crews, and other departments to ensure materials are available and projects are ready for installation.
• Receive, organize, label, and track incoming inventory and supplies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled inventory and storage areas.
• Safely operate a forklift and other authorized material-handling equipment as needed.
• Help improve inventory systems, organization, and accountability.
• Respond to changing project priorities while maintaining accuracy and organization.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory, warehouse operations, tool management, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of common hardware, fasteners, adhesives, and installation materials.
• Experience tracking inventory and preparing materials for projects.
• Current applicable forklift certification required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across departments, and remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work safely in an active shop environment.
