Patient Liaison, Perioperative Support Services at RWJBarnabas Health – Jersey CIty, New Jersey

Job Overview:

Peri-Operative Liaison will be coordinating with the Sterile Processing Department and the Operating Room to ensure smooth transition’s between OR cases. Peri-operative liaison will assist the charge RN to ensure turnover cases run smoothly by facilitating movement of case carts, scheduling needs, assisting with any changes made to preference cards, they will have constant communication with Operating rooms, OR front desk and SPD to prevent delays. Additionally, they will aid in helping to improve turnaround time,

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school equivalent

Preferred:

• Bachelors Preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift- 9:00am -5:00pm
• Monday- Friday
• Full Time

Essential Functions:

• A physical condition is required that permits mobility around the entire hospital
• Intact vision and speech are required as well as hearing sufficient to perform essential job responsibilities
• In addition, must be able to function under rapidly changing and stressful conditions
