Primary Responsibilities:
Client Care Record Management: Oversee accurate and confidential management of client care records, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory documentation requirements.
Oversight of Nursing Services: Lead the Nursing Services department within budgetary constraints, developing efficient processes to deliver high-quality care.
Policy Development and Enforcement: Establish, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and legal requirements.
Reporting and Recommendations: Provide regular performance reports on the Nursing Services department and recommend improvements as needed.
Effective Communication: Collaborate with management to address client care needs and ensure alignment with agency goals.
Committee Participation: Actively participate in committees to contribute to the agency’s growth and development.
Staffing and Recruitment: Assess staffing needs, manage the recruitment, hiring, and training of clinical employees, including CNAs, homemakers, and nurses.
Scheduling and Task Management: Coordinate schedules and task assignments for nursing staff, including field visits to evaluate performance and resolve scheduling issues.
Client Assessments and Care Plans: Conduct client assessments and develop personalized care plans when an RN is unavailable.
CNA Certification Course Instruction: Develop and implement a CNA training program in accordance with Rhode Island regulations, educating and mentoring future CNAs.
Quality Assurance: Implement the quality assurance program, updating policies and procedures based on client needs, caregiver feedback, and industry standards.
Administrative Responsibilities: Act as the facility administrator, ensuring compliance with health service administration requirements.

Education, Qualifications, and Credentials:
- Must hold or qualify for a Rhode Island Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of three years of nursing administration or managerial experience in long-term care or home care settings.
- Experience working for a home care agency providing Personal Care Aide services.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in policies, budgeting, personnel management, and census development.
- Multilingual proficiency (Spanish and English) is valued but not required.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collect signed documents upon client admission, including assessments, consents, and agreements.
- Maintain and organize client folders and manage communication logs.
- Track and manage caregiver feedback, no-shows, and performance.
- Fax Non-Oasis Plan of Care to client doctors and update the system upon receipt.
