Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for enhancing the competencies of individual employees by designing and facilitating training programs that will boost employee workplace performance in alignment with our core values. Collaborates with educators and key stakeholders using instructional design methods and adult learning practices to assess learning needs, provide gap analysis, align performance outcomes and design and develop learning solutions for classroom and online. Responsible for design, coordination and facilitation of new employee orientation, including ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory orientation requirements.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
2. *Coordinates new employee orientation process, curriculum and facilitation.
3. *Acclimates new hires to the organization and conducts new employee orientation sessions.
4. *Partners with leaders and subject matter experts for co-facilitation and planning.
5. *Ensures first impression to organization is welcoming, energizing and aligned to core values.
6. Maintains and updates content within existing curriculum as needed and develops content for new curriculum as needed using all training modalities.
7. Designs and maintains assessments and measuring tools for course curriculum that supports course objectives achievement tests, questionnaires, simulations scenarios, grading criteria and program outcomes.
8. *Ensures organization compliance with safety and regulatory orientation requirements.
9. *Manages training supply inventory and budget.
10. *Partners with internal stakeholders and other content experts regarding learning needs.
11. *Conducts training needs assessment and identifies skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed (department or organization-wide).
12. *Recommends method of delivery and leads instructional design process with input from subject matter experts.
13. *Designs training curriculum and develops training programs (outsourced or in-house) for corporate, HR training and professional development programs.
14. *Develops training outline, determines instructional methods, and develops training materials (training handbooks, simulations, multimedia aids, reference matierals, etc).
15. *Assesses instructional effectiveness and summarizes evaluation reports determining the impact of training on employee skills and how it affects key performance indicators.
16. Uses learning management system for online learning, social collaboration and training records.
17. Markets available training opportunities to employees.
18. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
19. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
20. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of instructional design theory and adult learning principles.
2. Knowledge of learning management systems.
3. Knowledge of traditional and modern job training methods and techniques.
4. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.
5. Skill in presenting to audiences of all levels of the organization.
6. Skill in Microsoft Office including intermediate proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
7. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff.
9. Ability to problem solve and engage independent critical thinking skills.
10. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information.
11. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision.
12. Ability to manage in house training facilities and audo visual.
13. Ability to effectively lead and facilitate meetings.
14. Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple assignments at one time.
15. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or related field required. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in instructional design, curriculum development and training facilitations in a corporate setting required.
