Job Summary
Responsible for assessing patients' statuses and facilitating the efficient movement of patients from admission to discharge. Job Responsibilities
- Serves as an expert consultant for team members in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
- Contributes to defining, directing, and evaluating the nursing care and functions of clinical team members.
- Collects and performs statistical analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of data including length of stay, immediate bedding principles, and workflows to identify issues and trends.
- Assists the provider(s) with patient intake process based on acuity of care needed.
- Participates in project planning and assists with prioritizing process improvement opportunities.
- Identifies, develops, documents, and implements standardized work instructions and educates team members on new processes.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
- Works with management to identify metrics to analyze cost effectiveness and return on investments.
- Communicates information obtained to the primary care giver to allow a smooth transition for patients.
- Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Healthcare Administration required upon hire OR
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Health Science Field required upon hire OR
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience required
- RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire AND
- BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position AND
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 12 months of employment in this position
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Requires a strong understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures related to process improvement, human factors, safety principles, and change management
